Born in London in the 1950’s and growing up in the post-World-War-Two era, where deprivation and scarcity were still rife, was a learning platform which fostered an innate ability to create our own learning and entertainment.  I like to think we grew into resourceful adults.

I worked at Lyons Maid as my first permanent job, then for an American computer firm in West Drayton (which is near Heathrow Airport), and later on to New York where I was with the United Nations for more than three decades.

Now retired, I spend my time in New York/New Jersey and Orlando, Florida. I enjoy hiking, reading mysteries (on my Nook), computing on my MacBook, and photographing wildlife – mostly birds.

I now enjoying living but not working – my Third Phase of Life.
